Hello,

Kindle is very sensitive to liquid. The liquid is drying gradually, that's why it's functionality is returning gradually as well.

Just be patient for the liquid to dry completely and it's functionality would be restored 100%.

There is still an atom of liquid in the kindle. So be more patient and you won't have any problem with your kindle.

Amazon customer services is very good. If the books were just recently purchased, you can probably return them by logging into your account, going to Orders and initiating a return. If this is not what you want, I would contact them and explain the problem more clearly.

I want to buy a new kindle but am concerned about transfering my books to the new kindle.
Two methods.
First: A computer is required. Connect the old Kindle to the computer it should show up as a new drive. Open that drive and find the books. Transfer them to the computer. Plug in new Kindle and do the same only transfer the transferred books from the computer onto the new Kindle.
Two: If you purchased the books from sources like Amazon, your books are saved on their cloud. Simply connect your new device and download all your books again.

When I was purchasing books last night my Kindle froze and would not function. I cut it off to try to reboot and now it won't come on. ???
Try rebooting your Kindle by holding the 'on' switch down for 20 seconds then letting go - it should 'reboot' by itself. You may have to do it a couple of times to reset your Kindle.

If this doesn't work, contact Amazon Customer Service as this is a common problem.
