I have a Mr. Coffee 12 Cup Coffeemaker CG13. It makes alot of noise. It seems that the compartment that hold the water and ginds is o airtight it steams alot and may be the reason it makes alot of noise. Is there something I can do about it? Drill a hole in the hood of the compartment

There is high temp tubing that may have come loose or become dammaged fromheat or the coil that heats the water may be leaking if you are using strong cleaning chemicals to remove scale from the unit. The bottom is held on with screws. Remove these and look to see what is the source of the leak.
