I just got mine to work with the STR-DE325. I programmed my Dish receiver remote following the reference in the back of the Dish receiver manual. I missed the comment at the beginning of the receiver codes at first which stated to enter a 2 before setting a tuner/amplifier code on aux. I then used the first code listed which was 683 and it works. So it was hold aux on the remote, wait until the aux was enabled by blinking, enter 2, enter 683 for the Dish remote and enter pound. E. Bad news, most every universal remote is for tv, vcr, dvd, cable box, and nothing else. you can goto sony.com or check ebay for a new one.

Try disconnecting all of your speakers, and then turn on you unit. If you have a defective speaker, or a short in your wires, your unit will go into protect mode. If your unit seems ok with the speakers disconnected, then turn unit off, hook up one of the speaker leads and try it. This way you can isolate the problem.......
