The unit I have is a Philips CDR 930  it will read a cd that has already been recorded but wil not read a blank one I'm useing sony cdr audio 80mins I bought it second hand without a manual or remote if it even came out with one please help if you can thank you for your time have a great day

"Won't Read". Is that the literal message? Blank discs are inherently unreadable until written.

I could not find a manual for "CDR"930 but theFW930 appears to include it as part of a mini-system.
