I need to know if this is a transistor or an scr, all i read on the board was Q3 Please any help would appreciat it. I would love to test it but It reads the some on the K and E with the base connected to the tester. Now Please advise me. Thank you. Lou.

The id for the component will be written on it, usually on the black epoxy bit. you need to look at the part, as the printing on the board is a reference to the circuit diagram, which im guessing you dont have.
