I'm having a problem with my built in webcam on Toshiba Satellite L300D-10B.I have Windows 7 and just downloaded latest Win 7 driver for Chicony Camera Assistant Software from toshiba.ca. Camera software will still not allow me to open camera - keeps saying"Webcam is either disabled or has failed. Please check your webcam settings" Camera is not listed in Device Manager. This software package contains the latest drivers built in for XP, Vista and now Windows 7, plus a file called traybar.exe which is supposed to run in the Taskbar to control various setting for the webcam. After downloading the software, installing and re-booting I just cannot get the Camera software to open. My webcam is not listed in Device Manager under Imaging - I know it's a Chicony camera built into my laptop. The message I keep getting "Webcam is either disabled or has failed. Please check your webcam settings" is as far as I can get. I've tried double clicking traybar.exe and get the same error message as above. Because the webcam is not showing up in Device Manager I can't update the drivers any other way nor have I been able to find any solutions from the Windows Troubleshooter. You will need a Windows XP installation CD. Just insert the CD into your CD drive and let the pc boot from it. Follow the on screen prompts to install the operating system.

You can get the XP drivers for your laptop from Toshiba HERE

Make sure you backup anything on your pc that you don't want to lose first.

ya vista have some problems go to your internet option and download manually the latest update of your webcam .this may be a problem because u are using latest version of yahoo but your web cam do not support it or either add xp also in ur laptop.

I have a Toshiba P205-s6337 I have ran vista ultimate and Windows XP Pro with no problems. I took a while to get all the drivers but now that I have them I can upload them and share. If anyonw needs them just drop me a line and i can post a link. I did compress the files into a rar file that i split into2 parts. 1st part is 100mb 2nd part is 78mb compreesed with winrar at maximum.
