Before detaching the stand, unplug the AC cord from the AC INPUT terminal. Before performing work spread cushioning over the base area to lay the TV on. This will prevent it from being damaged.
With the hex key that came with the television stand remove the four screws from the bottom back of the television and remove the stand.
If you also wish to remove the post from the stand base unit you can remove the four screws that attach them.
