Hello, Whenever I download a book from the Kindle store, I have great success in quickly downloading the text of the books. However, whenever I try to browse the web (ie Facebook) on my kindle 3G (by going through the search prompt and entering a web address) it quickly freezes up. Please point me in the direction of the problem. Thanks.

Yes, you can. But, you have to download the Kindle App to your tablet first. Go to the Play Store and enter Kindle into the search box. It's free. After downloading you can open the app and log on with your Amazon ID and password. Then it will download and synchronize and you will see all the books in your library. All you have to do is touch a book you want to read on your Samsung and it will download forthwith and when the progress bar goes to all the way to the end you can open it and read it. One caution, The Kindle app limits the same book to three devices only.

You will need to download the Kindle app ( from the App Store ) on your iPad or iPhone. You can then access your account on Amazon and probably download whatever you have on the Kindle to those devices. I have it and it works great....never went back to the Fire.

Try deleting your current books and then re-syncing. Your files seem to be corrupted during download.

Coby sent this to me asking for my solution, But I'm the one who asked the question in the first place and I still haven't found or gotten a solution.

Put it on charge for 30 minutes or so - the orange CHARGE light should light up.

Slide and HOLD the power slide to the right/ON position for a slow count of 30.
Ignore everything, just keep it held to the right for the complete count.

Now drink a cup of tea whilst it resets.

Now slide the power switch on again as normal - it should go to the Kindle Tree logo and then the boot bar come up and then everything will repopulate.
Let it alone for a few minutes as at remembers all your books and then all should be fine.

NOTE: Every 6 months the Kindle eReaders INDEX their content (it logs every single word in every single book) yes this eats the battery.
It's why they suggest never abandoning your Kindle for long periods of time.

You may also want to try a random search on the HOME page for "kjsdjhds" or something - if it says "5 books unindexed" use the down button to highlight those books and DELETE them. They are corrupted and can be downloaded again for free whenever conveninet to you.
