Xp problem have a hp desktop with xp. It ran great until I came back into town. wouldn't boot up right-kept going from windows xp screen to hp screen. after 1 day of this i did system restore and updated all my windows except ie 7. never could get that stupid screen to go off before. I run some tax software on computer and coudln't print out anything. ater talking to tax software tech he said windows 2.0 needed to be uninstalled and reinstalled. after doing this I need to know how to reinstall-also my updates conncection will not work-keeps giving me an update code. Where do i get this microsoft 2.0 netframe?

the update is called .NET Framework 2.0 --- maybe you need to install the previous update to get that one -- called .NET Framework 1 SP1. when you view system properties, what service pack are you using?

service pack 3 would contain the .NET Framework download you need. to download it just click on the link on the update site and save it to your HD. double-click the file once downloaded to install it.
