There should be an SC after the error code. Is there one?

SOURCE: error 870

It seems to me that when you are faxing, your machine is probably set to save the fax to memory. If this is the case you should just have to delete whatever has been saved, through the control panel menu.

Code:7,202,15- My Canon MX-870 (Twain) gives me this error code when I try to resizew in B/W or grey scale. No problem in color.

"Internal error occurred. Scanner driver will be closed. code 7,202,15"
Received the above error while inserting scanner image using MS Word with Canon printer/scanner Pixma 439.

The solution is via the following MS Word software choices:
From Word tool bar choose: INSERT/PICTURE/FROM SCANNER/then one of two choices, either: WIA-WIA Canon MX430 Series, or choose CUSTOM INSERT (Preferable).

You could reset all the counters but you should call a proffessional with a good mantenance KIT, your copier probably needs it...

Ricoh aficio 2027

SC542 is a warm up error from the fuser.

SC 870 is an address book error.

Turn the power off on the copier. Wait 30 seconds and then turn the power back on. See if it goes away.

If you load the printer drivers from a Windows XP install disk (in the i386 directory), that worked for me.

I have the same problem. I have replaced both toner and photoconductor, did not solve the problem. I have been using XP for some time before my printer started acting up.
