Card Problem When I put my card in it goes to (card set up) power off or format????? I have tried everything and cannot get rid of this I cannot take pictures. It was fine until I put card in computer and downloaded the photos, put it back in camera and now this is all I get, it is driving me crazy,,,,,,what is wrong??? I have even put new batteries in please help ASAP. shoolee@cox.net

    My computer has a slot for this media. After I downloaded my photos to my computer I put the card back in the camera. It comes up with a flashing F and gives me the choice to Format or Power off. When I choose the Format it says Card Error and then wont do anything at all. Any suggestions?
    ps I just tried formatting on my computer but I get the same result

Hey abbers,
What is most likely going on is your computer formatted the card to it, and the card needs to be formatted to work in the camera. What you should do is choose to format the card when you get the message "power off or format". Directions on how to format the card are on page 143 of your camera manual and I have included a link to a PDF download of your camera manual in case you no longer have yours. I hope this helps!

:( I ALREADY FORMAT MY CARD AT THE Computer ... but when the card is IN ... it doesn't Format... it says ERROR ... what should I do :(:( ??????????

All you have to do is connect the card reader to the computer than put the card in the reader and format the card. Now it works fine in the camera
