Connect your satnav to your computer by plugging the mini USB plug into the back of the satnav and the larger USB plug into your computer
Open Internet explorer on your computer. In the address bar at the top of the screen where you see http://www. etc type in www.garmin.com
Press the enter button on your computer keyboard.
At the top of the garmin screen click myGarmin
On the left of the next screen click REGISTER YOUR GARMIN DEVICE
On the next screen select AUTOMOTIVE
Follow the prompts

You'll have to create a username and password. Keep them safe as you'll need them to update your maps.
