I was trying to insert the ac adaptor to the outlet of the telescope. It seems that it was short circuted and a smoke came out & I smell something burned. Is there a sort of a fuse that will prevent the electronics from getting fried or is the scope permanently damaged? Where can I have it repaired. Pls. reply. Thanks, Tino'

No, you burned out some of the circuits on the internal power board. Meade can repair the scope but you must send it to them.

That's why I always use a 12 volt battery pack and NEVER use the 110volt adapter
