You will have to Restart the service that sends the jobs to the printer, called Print Spooler. To do that you right click My Computer, select Manage. That will open Computer Management. In the console tree, click Services and Applications, then Services. Select the service called Print Spooler, and on the right hand side you will have Stop and Restart. Click Restart and this will stop it and start it again. This will clear the print queue.
Another easier way to do it is to simply restart your computer and force close any application that stops responding.
