LCD Hi ! I have a problem with my IBM T30 Thinkpad. The LCD keeps shutting off while I am in the middle of doing anything, however the program that i am running stays on the screen but you can't see it. I have to close the lid and then open it again to get the LCD light to turn back on so i can continue to work. As it type this the screen has turned off 7 times. PLEASE HELP !!!!!

First try this, right click on the desktop, click properties, open the screen saver tab, click the power button, then change the screen settings to never. If this doesn't work, then I'm afraid it's a hardware issue. Check the screen connections, connection to the back of the screen, screen to inverter, and screen to motherboard (under the keyboard), sometimes the connectors can work loose. If the connections are good, then the issue may lie with the inverter or screen itself. More than likely an intermittent problem with the inverter.
