If you have problems ejecting your zip disk make sure you are following
the correct procedure for doing so. First off, you need to unmount it -

Properly unmounting the removable media is necessary to avoid the risk of data loss.

How do I manually eject a disk from my Zip external drive?

If a Zip® disk will not eject due to a power failure or the eject
button fails to operate properly, use the following steps to manually
    remove the disk:

Warning: Never manually remove a disk while the power supply
is connected to the Zip drive or force a disk in or out of the Zip
drive, as this could damage the drive.

Straighten out the end of a paper clip.

Locate the emergency eject hole on the drive (refer to the pictures below)
    Zip USB
    Zip Parallel Port
    Zip SCSI External

Insert the straightened end of the paper clip into the emergency eject hole.

If you are still unable to manually eject the Zip disk from your Zip
drive, please contact an Iomega Technician by selecting the ‘Additional
troubleshooting and support options’ link at the bottom of this page.
