Your best bet is to take it to a jewellers in your local town, they have no reason to falsify any answer

Gold does not "fade" but if it is very thin plating, then it may wear off.

This make tends to be expensive; if you did not pay a high price for it, then it seem likely be a fake.

If it is solid gold, it has to have a maker hallmark and the purity of the gold in Karats, 9, 10, 18, 22 stamped into it.

It may be plated and have no hallmark, but all Pierre Cardin jewelry is maker marked. Another indication to whether it is genuine is the quality of the catch. I found a fake one metal detecting. It was gold and diamonds looking, but the catch was just a push together fixing and the reason it was lost. The real one, has a tiny captive screw to positively lock it together and the bracelet is sold with a tiny gold plated jewelers screwdriver.

Take it to a high end jeweler and they will confirm.

Unless it is fake, this is a real gold, but only the dial (you call it face, which is wrong). To check the authenticity of your watch you have to shoe it to watchmaker.
