You said you built the PC yourself. One of the most common causes of faults are because the motherboard screws are to tightly fastened. I would release off all the screws by 1/4 of a turn and try again. If this problem persists then i would recommend a visual inspecton by an engineer.
Looking at the mobo's picture I can only presume that the 3rd slot is assigned as the graphics port. I will have a look through the tech docs and let you know.
SB means Southbridge, NB Northbridge. These mobos have voltage switch which provides different voltages to the same components. The switch usually affects SB components only, so therfore, if im right, the slot the card doesnt work in (ie 1) is a NB slot, and has less voltage than the others.
Hope this helps.
The other issue maybe that the NB slot is a 8 speed slot and the 512 card your using is a 16 speed port. This could be the reason it doesnt work in that slot. Is there a reason why the card needs to be in slot 1?
The opnly other suggestion is to try to contact foxxcon support. Good luck with that!
Sorry I couldnt help further

Thank you for the reply... I've released the screws but still no luck... I've also found out the card does not give me a signal in slot 2 either. only in slot 3.. On the mobo board the out of the 3 pcie slots 1 and 2 are black and the 3rd is blue any reason for this? I understand about an engineer but I hate to be beat..ha ha,, So that is not an option.
Again many thanks for your help... Would reflashing the bios help?... I'm not sure what bios came on the board so could be an old one.. but would that make a difference?
Quick up date.. I've also flashed the bios to 1.5 which is the latest version.. And yes you guessed it.. Still no siganl
Update: I have removed the mother board from the chassis and booted it up with just 1gig ram, CPU, and GFX card... the card DOES work in slots 2 and 3 but not in slot 1.. How ever my 256mb card does work in slot 1... I noticed in the bios that the PCIe slots are as follows:
SB PCIe x16
SB PCIe x16
NB PCIe x8
Anybody know what the last one is??
Hi I've got my computer running fine at the moment with this 256mb card in slot 1 it's as soon as I put my 512mb card in.. But like I say it works in slot 2 and 3... Anyway If I increase the voltage is that not getting into the over clocking realms? should I need to increase the voltage to a PCIe slot?
Sorry I got that wrong at the top the PCIe slots are as follows:
NB PCIe x16
SB PCIe x16
SB PCIe x8
I incressed the voltage by 0.5v but still didn't make any difference I still get no signal.. If I put the card in slot 2 or 3 it works and I can get to the BIOS but as it goes to boot it tells me that the card has been detected in slot 2 or 3 and as it's not running multi GPU (SLi) it needs to be placed in slot 1... The comp will not boot inless its in slot 1... Nightmare!.. I've got 6 gig of ram sticks which I have tried in different slots 1 gig only so it can't be a ram problem.. I've had the modo out on cardboard to see if it was earthing anywhere.. Which was a waste of time actually because my 256mb card works fine in slot 1.. I've just never come across a problem like this before.
Okay thanks for your help thus far.. This is really getting to me...lol
