better change the glass of your scanner to avoid this problem in thw future and one more thing when ever you are not using the scanner put a soft cloth over glass and cover it or put a A4 size paper it will avoid dust and scratch try this

When you installed the printer there should have been a program installed with it called Epson Scan. See if you can find it in your start menu under all programs. Otherwise, you may simply want to try installing it again, and tell it to place an icon on your desktop.
