Re: I have a scratch on the top of my ceramic stovetop....
Instructions for repairing scratches on ceramic cooktop
Things You'll Need:
- Nonabrasive cleaner
- Dishwashing liquid
- Cloth
- Razor scraper
- Ceramic crème
- Sponge or cloth(s)
-
1
Clean the cooktop with a nonabrasive cleaner, such as a glass
cleaner or warm water mixed with a few drops of dishwashing liquid. Wipe with a
clean, soft cloth.
-
2
Use your fingernail or the flat edge of a razor scraper to
remove any raised surfaces on the scratch.
-
3
Apply a ceramic repair crème, available at most hardware or
home
repair stores, to the scratched area. Work in gently with a soft cloth or
sponge.
-
4
Allow the crème to sit for 15 to 20 minutes. Wipe away with a
clean, damp, soft cloth.
-
5
Repeat as necessary until the scratch is no longer
visible.
