The only way to unlock a PIN locked Garmin is to enter the correct PIN number (1111 won't work unless it is the correct PIN #), or take the unit to where the PIN was initially set. Why not ask your friend the PIN #? Your only other option is to send the unit to Garmin. There is no "master" PIN code.
