Make sure you purchase a 40 watt appliance bulb and not a regular bulb which will break under the high heat. They look the same but are made differently. First turn the light off and let it cool The bulb has a cover over it. To remove the cover you must unscrew it. Turn it to the left (counterclockwise). This will remove the cover and allow access to the bulb which you just unscrew and replace like any other household bulb. Replace the cover by screwing it back on (clockwise). Turn the power off to the oven. Spray around the bulb base / socket with Pam or similar spray cooking oil. Will take several applications. Bulb should free up -- may take a couple of hours for oil to seep into socket far enough to loosen it. Use oil liberally.
