The is a small heater in the boottom of your ice maker that is most likely not working. The heater comes on when the ice reaches a frozen state to allow the ice to melt just enough that the rotating arm can push the cubes out and into the tray.
Unfortunately, it will most likely cost more to have a technician fix the existing ice maker than it would to just have anew one installed.
I would opt for the new ice maker.

are you saying there is frozen ice in the maker but its not dumping it
