My problem is that when I type on the IBM ThinkPad R40 key pad; letter that I have selected (u,i,o,p,j,k,l, & m, are numbers. I not shore what I done wrong.

Number lock key on top right. reads 'Numlk/Scrlk. must hold shift key will pressing numlk key. should be a led like the caps lock led but with a 1 in it if number lock is active
