SOURCE: replace color cartridge
Access your printer properties and try preforming a print head or printer cartidge clean and on the machine try the print cartridge aligniment procedure.
If after you try both of those I suspect there is an issue with the print head.
If that is the case an ink jet printer is not worth repairing.

are you sure you have the correct one in the correct slot?

Hmm... try to go to a authorised HP service. U may have to replace a part or two - carousel or DC controller.
