Automatically configure an Ethernet connection

Click Start and then click Network. The Network window displays.

Click Network and Sharing Center.

Verify that the network is connected to the computer. The network is connected to the computer if a red X does not display on the screen.

Connect the printer to the network with an Ethernet connection.

Click Start and then click Network. The Network window displays.

Click Add a Printer.

Select the Add a network, wireless, or Bluetooth printer check box.

In the list that displays, select the desired printer and then click Next.

In the Printer Name text box, type a name for the printer.

If desired, click Print a Test Page to print a test page.

Click Finish.
