Do you wish to write Euro sign during writing in notepad etc?

To write the symbol, press and hold Alt and type 0128.

Or copy and paste this sign: €

How do I use the Euro key

Press down the shift key then press the 4 key, if this does not work and comes back with the $ sign then you may need to change your keyboard layout settings. You can do this by going to control panel>regional and language options>keyboards and languages and change the layout to the relevant option to enable the euro sign.
