All the other features with my Lexmark X5070 works superbly, however, when I use the scanning feature to Microsoft Works (a document) the document is opened in a very small font, the margins are off, and it seems to set everything up into columns. Actually, even after having the document open and working with the margins IN the Works document itself it does not help... the formatted columns do not change it only distorts the document.
I've tried using the settings of the scanner itself. I've also tried fixing the document using formatting features of Microsoft Works.
Any ideas? Thank you in advance.
I've always been told with text recognition, etc. that the OCR is only as good as the spell checker and formatting capabilities of the application you import to. Works is unfortunately only a step up from using Wordpad and I believe this is probably an issue with MS Works not your printing software. Make sure you are in "Print View", but bottom line... you may need to scan to scan some documents to another application first and import the file after.
