Please check the hardware acceleration function is enabled.
(1) Go to Control Panel->Display property setting -> advanced -> Troubleshoot.
(2) Check the Hardware acceleration status.
(3) The Hardware acceleration should be set to "Max"
Please update your PowerDVD 8 to the latest version.
Please click here to download the patch.

There are many free DVD software you can use, why use Cyberlink 'buggy' software?

If you are on a Windows OS platform,
Here are some free Players eg. VLC Player, MPStar Player or Windows Media Player 11.
Download the codec package and install either "K-Lite Codec Pack or K-Lite Mega Codec Pack" from http://www.free-codecs.com/index.htm. With these you should be able to play most of the Audio and Video formats.
