Screen goes black

This problem is fixable with no parts.
the ribbon cable inside the back of the monitor most likely is loose. if when the screen goes black you can tell that the back light is still on inside the screen then this fix is definitely for you.if the back light is what is going off then you may try swapping the inverter from the other screen, this requires disassembling the screen to do, follow the instructions below to get it apart, then find the inverter at the bottom of the screen, but from what you said about moving the screen makes it come back on id pat its just the ribon cable as discribed below. the nx5000 has a notorious problem for the monitor going out, sometimes it flickers and sometimes it just doesn't show anything at all. the problem is often easily fixable in less then 20 minutes.
the cable that connects the computer to the monitor comes unplugged on the back of the monitor.
you will need to disassemble the monitor to do this fix, don't worry it is easy.
get a Phillips screw driver and a small flat screwdriver and use the flat to pry off the 5 round rubber plugs on the front of the monitor.
next use the Phillips to remove the 5 screws.
next use the Phillips to remove the 4 screws on the edge of the screen.
next using caution pry pull or rip the inside bezel off from around the screen, there is double sided tape holding it to the screen. careful not to break or disfigure the bezel durring removal.
once you get this off there is 4 screws into each hinge at the bottom of the screen. remove those.
now the outside cover will be completely lose and dangling by the wi-fi antenna cable.
now the connector on the back of the monitor is exposed and in many cases it looks like its is only half plugged in, plug it in all the way until it is even and turn the computer on, see if this fixes your problem.
you may put a piece of tape to help hold it in but i doubt it would really help.
reassemble in reverse order, be careful to route the wi-fi cables through the little opening or they will be pinched and your wi-fi will no longer work.
it may not happen again for years or ever, it is possible that some joker working at hp was lazy and left hundreds of these only half plugged in, or did it intentionally.

In some cases you might hear a buzzing noise coming from the area where the inverter board is located, it’s on the bottom part of the screen Troubleshooting: If the screen is black, look for the “lid closed” switch and try pushing it a few times. It’s usually a small switch near the hinges that is pressed when the lid(the screen) is closed. Sometimes these switches get stuck in the “lid closed” position that results in black screen(no backlight) or non-starting laptop. Also some laptops have a magnetic switch (newer Dells, most Macs, etc.) that doesn’t get stuck.
The most common failures are (in this order): inverter, “lid closed” switch, cable, LCD, backlight.
the display assembly.so open the display assembly check the cable fix it tightly and again if no improvement change the inverter PCB
