I have a TH-42PD60U Panasonic TV and would like to connect a Toshiba dvd/vcr combo. I do not have the remote to the dvd/vcr. I do however have the panasonic remote. The remote code is EUR7737Z30. I need the 3 digit remote control code that will allow me to use this device on the dvd/vcr.
I'd check your Panasonic user's manual, usually, there is a list of codes for "other" devices. There may also be a way to do an automatic upload of the Toshiba device's code if it is on and the right button on the Panasonic remote is pushed.

I had a similar problem where my TH-42PX60 would turn on but all controls were disabled. I could not change channel, input, volume or anything other than turning the TV on and off. I called customer support and they directed me to this site: http://www.pasctraining.panasonic.com/specialapplications/productfirmwaredownloads/downloads1.asp to download a firmware update onto an SD Card. I inserted the SD card into the slot in my TV and powered it on. The update took about 3 minutes and I haven't had a problem since.

If the exact code is not listed for your model then you must do the code search. This sometimes takes a while because you have to search through every possible code! Goodluck!!

You might have to try them all to get the best match, as some codes will work parts of the vcr only and not others.

Use the RCA universal control programing the code 109 in vcr funtion and will work..... i try and work....
