Hi,
There are various network specification for each operators like airtel, BSNL, etc
Nokia 3110 supports GSM 900 / 1800 / 1900 so Airtel SIM card should work in your mobile.
Try using some other airtel sim cards and some other sim cards from other vendors as well. SOme times the problem with network chip may also cause this problem. so in such case, you can approach nokia service center to claim under warranty.

It could be that the SIM is not functioning. Try it in a phone. If it works then the DWM is at fault, else ask Airtel to replace the SIM.

You SIM has been blocked by the Airtel. Simply contact Airtel support via Help Line, Franchise or Customer Services Centre and ask them to restore or replace your SIM.

My problem is not working vodafone and airtel sim. Pl. solve my problem
SAMSUNG SGH L700 and Airtel 64K SIM are not compatible.
I was shocked when this happened to me. My 32K SIM was working fine until I moved to 64K SIM and all the problems began. Now the phone does not start with the 64K SIM. But it wrks with 128K. Now neither AIRTEL nor SAMSUNG are providing any solution. Either AIRTEL should keep the option of providing 32K SIM or SAMSUNG should provide software upgrade. At the Authorised Service Centre for SAMSUNG they are saying that no solution has been provided for this problem. Now I cant buy a new cellphone. So I guess I will have to change the connection which still uses 32K SIM or those whose 64K SIM are compatible with SAMSUNG.

check whether is locked for the network(airtel)
If you by your phone on airtel offer it might be blocked by them (airtel). You need to format the software and reinstall the software.

SIM lock only AIRTEL SIM works
you may have locked your sym card. if you did, your phone would prompt you for a password when it turns on, just to access the network. try some basic codes like 0000 or 1234. these are most likely the factory defaults.
