Firstly look for a hardware switch on the side or font of the laptop. sometimes its a touch pad style button on top of the keypad area. look for that wireless icon. For the soft switch use these keys in combination below then make sure your wireless in the control panel >> network connections is enabled.
Then try again.
in review,1. Softswitch FN+F2 verify its on.
2. look for a physical switch with the same wireless symbol as F2 ,most laptops have one.
3. Make sure wireless adaper is enabled in the control panel.>> nework connection >>manage adapters.
4. Search for networks and viola!
