We are using a Canon Copier, Imagerunner C587OU. We have a new computer and need to add the copier scan folder to it. I have created the folder, but do not know how to "link" it to the copier. Please help.

In this case, make sure that your Canon Copier Imagerunner C587OU has CD software that comes with it. You need to connect the Canon copier to the computer with a USB cable or through the parallel port which the Canon Copier may not likely have. Then on your Pc and put the cd in the Cd drive of the Pc, when your Computer prompts "Found New Hard Ware" direct the computer to install the Canon copier through the Cd drive, after the Installation the Computer and the Canon copier can now be able to communicate thereby allowing you to scan from your Pc to the canon copier.
