Same problem with my iPhone. Vibration dissapeared several days ago. Actually I did not notice when exactly. I restored it several times. I tried iLiberty and iDemocracy to jailbreak, activate and unlock it. But :(

Does anybody have an idea how to fix this issue?

This might work.  It had worked for mine and 3 of my friend's iPhone but sad to say could not do it for my wife's iPhone.  I guessed because she dropped her and we did not drop our.  It is still make a little small rattling vibration one or two day and pretty much it had died on her now.  Anyway, back to a solution.  I called this 'kungfu chop cho' .  Just hold your iPhone like you are holding a chopping knife or like hold a hammer.  Just chop chop on to something soft with the 2 bottom corners of the iPhone.  That is it!  This should work and if it does not then hardware proble.  Send it in and get it rreplace.
Good luck to all from Vietnam.

Actually it is a hardware problem. My iPhone was fixed by replacement of its vibration module. It is rather a common problem.
