Impressa Z5 Error 8

Only advice seems to be "turn it off, wait & turn back on" but that doesn't work.

I have the same error code on my F7. I notice after making a coffee it will take longer to cycle until it is ready to make the next cup. It also makes a noise as though it get's stuck in the middle of the cycle and starts over again. Any suggestions?

Error 8 is an indication that the brewgroup needs servicing. We managed to get it temporarily fixed by using some antistick spay (Pam) that we aplied from the bottom after removing the tray assembly. The machine can be tricked about the tray not being present by using a small stick to latch the microswitch on the right side about midway where the tray slides in. Once this is done, you can turn the machine on and off, which will get the brewgroup moving while you spray it.

Pull the power cord. Let it stand for 30-60 minutes and plug it in again. That does the trick...
