Hi, I run Windows XP SP3 and my recently purchased LogiTech EX110 keyboard has intermittent keying problems where I get a repeated figure 5 when some other keys are pressed, particularly the figure 4. Sometimes the figure 5 will just keep running across the page until the backspace key is pressed. Also, the symbol keys are mixed up, e.g., to get an @ sign for an email address I have to use the " key and vice versa Background Info:= This problem only happened when I purchased a replacement cordless keyboard, firstly a Microsoft keyboard and mouse (which played up similarly) then thinking it was faulty, had it replaced with this LogiTech cordless keyboard and mouse. It appears it is a conflict in software somewhere but the fixed I have tried have not completely solved the problem. Note the previous BELKIN wireless keyboard worked just fine, the reason for the upgrade was because one of the keys on that board was getting a tad notchy or worn out! Any help is appreciated. Thanks - Barry

This sounds a bit like a manufactures screw up. I would contact them first and for most if still under warranty. I Have a similar keyboard and mouse (EX 100) Most keyboards today use a very thing circuit system. Basically a thin flexible piece of plastic with flit circuits. This is a bit of a problem because they tend to be easier to damage and replacing the insides can be more expensive than just replacing the complete keyboard and mouse.

Keyboards are easy replaceable parts, depending on the type of keyboard it is.. i know you probably like that keyboard, but perhaps you may need to take it back to the store and get your money back or replace that one as well. Since you say there was some conflict with software, I figure you probably had a driver issue with the keyboard, perhaps that keyboard is not compatible with your Windows XP SP3 // since a newer keyboard no doubt might be windows 7 compatible. Check to make sure again your KB is compatible with Windows XP SP3, Although, i know you probably have.. it wouldn't hurt to check again, you'll be surprise how something could be missed. :) Good luck, I hope this help.. If not.. perhaps others can weigh in as well :)
