Google "getting into the bios of an acer aspire" and it will have different ways in trying to reboot. Try that and see what happens. If that doesn't work, then come back and then someone will figure something else to do for you. OK?.
- Plug in your laptop to M110 via Ethernet cable.
- If it doesn't assign IP to your laptop, give 192.168.1.2 to your laptop.
- Power on M110
- On browser, go to https://192.168.1.1 and hit ENTER.
- Type in admin username and password for M110
- Now, it should doing DHCP by default. If not, select DHCP (keep it simple).
- You can select the authentication type as you wish to use.
- I don't know how your school network set up. If default setting doesn't work, you need to go to NETWORK > PORTS and select BRIDGE PORT to extend your school network to M110.

Is the system running MS Vista? I had this problem with a PC the other day. What I ended up doing was using an XP disk to format the HDD, then before I rebooted I ejected the XP disk and insterted the recovery disk. When the system rebooted, THEN it booted from the recovery disk.
Try from the Start Button, select the RUN command and type in:
chkdsk c: /r
It will open a black box saying it cannot perform when Windows is running and do you want try perform the check disk upon your next reboot. Type the letter Y and hit enter ...
Shut down and reboot. It should launch the disk check.
That MAY fix it. If not, you will need to find someone with installation disks ... :(
You need to install Windows, or Linux from a generic install disk , and then install the drivers for your system. After installing system you will need to reinstall drivers from one of the websites below:
