Hi is there a way to do it myself,i recently brought a epson cx3200 3 in one and a error message comes up saying printer error and when i go into printer setting it says printer needs service.
I have a solid green 'on' light with an error message reading "Printer error - see your documentation and call service if necessary".
Initially when this error message forst appeared I had an on screen 'low color ink' warning. That doesn't appear any longer, just the printer error message. I wondered if I changed the color cartridge it may reset the error? I cannot get the cx3200 to go into ink change mode so would have to dismantle the top of the machine to access the printer cartridges.

I've a Epson Stylus CX3650 which suddenly started saying that it didn't recognise my ink cartridges (despite them being the same ones I usually use) and now has a big "E" on the display which apparently indicates that some parts are at the end of their life ... my printer is less than two years old and I cannot even get the printheads to move now, let alone print anything.
