Lost outside temperature reading. Removed batteries from clock and outside sensor and waited 30 min. When batteries were installed temperature and clock functioned properly. However we keep losing the outside reading. We repeated the sequence and always get the same results. What am I doing wrong
Without having parts to try, this would be difficult to know what the fault is. Inside this unit there is a circuit board, and on the outside there is the exernal temperature sensor.
There are only a few things that can go wrong. There is not much that is servicable unless you can find a spare board, or a spare temperture probe. There is very little posiblity that in any practicality this unit can be serviced at the component level.
I would just go out and buy a new unit.
