Timer Knob

We have the GE space saver washer/dryer. We need to replace the eniter timer unit we got the old timer out completely except for the knob. We looked at the new one and noticed its clipped on but cant figure out how to get the knob off.

The clip pulls straight up off the shaft directly behind the knob.  You can use a small screwdriver or a pair of needlenose pliers to pull it out.  Once the clip is removed the knob will slide off the timer shaft.
