How do I set my clock on my computer? It says that the time is 6:45PM when it is actually 9:36PM eastern stander time..

Double click the clock/time in the system tray in the lower right of your computer screen, then click on the time zone tab and select the eastern standard time zone and tick off the box in the lower left of that box for the automatically adjust for daylight saving time, then select apply in the bottom then ok...now recheck your time..it should now read the correct time.

    maybe i should of asked what OS you are running but i made an assumption based on the dell 3100 listed

    Did anyone think about the CMOS clock in the BIOS ?

    That is the primary time keeper for the system and windows clock tends to follow that and if the CMOS clock is off it cann affect indirectly such things as windows update.

It's easy, just double click on the clock in the system tray. After you change the settings to what you want click "OK" and your done.

Right click on the current time, bottom right hand corner, bottom tray. Under toolbars, select
"Adjust date and time"
A magic time and date set box jumps up. Make your changes and party on. It is that simple.how do I set my clock on my computer? - bd1d016.jpg
