Most Sharp universal remotes came with a specific device (TV, DVD player, etc.). The directions for programming the remote will be in the manual for that device. The Sharp GA317SA came with several TV models. The GA317SA is the same as the GA219SA that comes with the 27F640, except for the light feature. My Sharp TV manual says there should be a "CC" button near the upper right corner of your remote control. Keep pressing the button to go through the different options.
