It's a dirt devil curve I bought for my dad. None of us have been able to open it
1. Remove the unit from the base.
2. Twist the top clockwise to separate the two halves.
3. Grasp the filter tab to lift it up.
4. Empty filter, replace, reassemble.
Wouldn't that be nice if it worked like that? Mine is completely stuck together and will not open.
