There is Default settings option under Settings menu. Unfortunately it will reset not just white balance but all other settings too.

Bright

Almost all cameras have a color and white balance settings. Try messing with the white balance first and lowering it. I'm not familiar with your specific camera, but I have one that has a reset function under the settings menu. It allows me to reset all settings to default, that might work.

All the pictures come out with a pink tint! I have a E-500

Not much to go on here but I'll have a go at it. My first impression is that the camera "white balance" has been altered the E 500 has eight programed white balance settings. It also supports five picture modes one of which is Sepia which is a soft overcast of tan which could be mistaken for pink.
What may have happened is that camera white balance has been shifted to the florescent setting.

About half way down the page you will see the presets for white balance titled colour and white balance.

LG Flatiron monitors.1st one on Dell pc works great. 2nd one in same household to Compaq pc still flashes faint pink on parts that should be white.

Probably just some color balance is of. Reset white to something different on the compaq. Try downloading nvidia-settings and see what happens when you mess with color balances. Mess around with some settings til it looks right, or see if you can reset the white balance to a different preset on the monitor's menu

Clouds appear pink rather than white

check the white balance setting. You need to reset white balance each time you use camera whether you are shooting inside or out and for the time of day Auto does not always give you the best results.

Everything is yellow!!!

You may need to reset the white balance.  This feature compensates for the hue of different lighting conditions such as sunlight and fluorescent lighting. the white balance button is the top most of the three next to the lens.

One touch white balance

white balance... you can go through the white balance menu and change the custom to whatever temperature you want... camera 1, wb, cwb, right to change temp. you can also change the red and green on the presets by pressing right at each preset temperature.

now if you are using one touch wb, then put the wb on one touch, then in camera ready hold in the one touch button and press the shutter button while pointing to white or gray card. this is stored as one touch until one touch is done again or the camera is reset. turning off camera will not reset the custom wb.

so to access your stored one touch put wb on one touch because this stores that last white balance done

White balance problem

There are two white balance adjustments in the Picture Menu. Check the user's manual and see which is best for you. Remember if you have "All Reset" set to Yes (Setup Menu). The white balance will reset to Auto each time you turn-on the camera. ............... XD media cards are the invention of Olympus and Fujifilm. Just their way of getting a piece of the pie. Just like Sony and the memory stick.
