This will be like most actuated toys. Unfortunately there are no spare parts or PDF manuals to service or repair your I-Dog. Have a clean and clear workspace with good lighting, a magnet to keep all of the assembly screws in one place, a small philips head screwdriver and take the body case apart carefully. At this point the legs may come free with their drive servos so go gently. As it's only the rear legs that aren't working you have an idea of where to look for a fault. Look for broken slide pins or cracks in plastic parts, gears that have come loose or stripped or even a broken wire to a drive motor. It might only need a small spot of super glue to fix him up or a small soldered joint. Take pics with your phone while disassembling it so you have a visual guide and even jot down a note or 2 on a writing pad. You might get lucky and manage to return it to 100% working order but you never know with these things...
DC24 is not compatible with the original Mini turbine head as this tool is engineered to work with the performance characteristics of our full size upright and canister vacuums.
However, we do make a Mini turbine head which is compatible with DC24 - for help ordering this, I would encourage you to contact us directly by calling 0800 298 0298 (UK), 1-866-693-9766 (US), or 1-877-397-6622 (CA). Once we've taken the serial number of your machine we'll be able to confirm the correct Mini turbine head for your vacuum.
This is a problem that needs to be checked at an Aerus Electrolux store. They have the tech manuals to troubleshoot the specific problems with the Renny (Renaissance). There are three possible problems involving the electronics in either the hose handle or the canister.
When the problem was first noted, customers brought their vacuums in and the service managers simply replaced the hoses. That resulted in burning out the boards in either the new hose or the vacuum, increasing the cost of warranty repair/part replacement. Electrolux quickly sent out service updates letting the service personnel know to stop the practice immediately. I can't remember how long it took before we finally got the proper troubleshooting data, but yes, there were a lot of problems with many of the machines. Fortunately for the store I worked at, there weren't many.
I note your question was submitted in July, so hopefully you've managed to resolve the issue by now. However, if you still need assistance with the machine, you may find this online support guide useful. Please follow the steps shown to remove the cleaner head and clear the blockage from the internal hose:
This should resolve your issue, but if you need any further assistance, please get in touch with us directly by calling free on 0800 298 0298 (UK), or 1866MYDYSON (US).
2080 1203 2055...Critical / Failure / Error...2080 1203 2346The Storage Management Service performs alert monitoring and logging. By default, the Storage Management Service starts when the managed system starts up. If you stop the Storage Management Service, then alert monitoring and logging stops. Alert monitoring does the following:
Updates the status of the storage object that generated the alert.
Propagates the storage object's status to all the related higher objects in the storage hierarchy. For example, the status of a lower-level object will be propagated up to the status displayed on the Health tab for the top-level Storage object.
Logs an alert in the Alert log and the operating system (OS) application log.
Sends an SNMP trap if the operating system's SNMP service is installed and enabled.

Contact HT first, see if they have a manual they can email or fax, then just go down the line. Homepower did a review of your controller (initial version), and they might have a manual laying around as well. Contact HomePower at www.homepower.com
