Thank you for responding to me...First of all I dont even know what an o/s disc is and i know i dont have one....I know i can click on the bold dates but they dont take me back far enough...The first bold date is the 23rd of march, and that is the day the problem happened..I tried to go to a date that is before the 23rd but it wont let me...If I click on the 23rd-28(today) wont i just be restoring the problem that created this?

  1. Right click on "my computer"
  2. left click on "properties"
  3. left click on systems restore
  4. make sure system restore is on.
  5. open help and support
  6. click on system restore
  7. click on a day where there is a restore point. these days are bolder black. If the password to user was deleted they're are no restore points.

Another way is to log in as administrator not under normal log in.
press F8 on boot, select safemode, log in Administrator, no password.

log into to help and support, click on restore system etc.

Make sure you are selecting a date that is
bold ,
some viruses will stop you using the restore function, run anti virus and anti spy ware

then try this:
go to start/run and type in cmd

then type in the black box sfc/scannow,

have your o/s disc ready as this will check all the system files and replace any that has got corrupted, from the o/s disc.

good luck

yes the problem will still be present.

the laptop may have a hidden partition that holds all the programs that was on it when first built, when you boot up check the screen for what key you need to hit (sometimes its F11)to go to restore function,if you can do that, it will restore the laptop back to the factory settings but all other data will be lost.

    good luck
