Hello. Go to any CB radio store and purchase a compatible AM TX antenna. Joe
Check the configuration:-
switch 1. NB/ANL
RF PWR switch. LO
BAND switch. HI
TB switch. ON
Lower knobs set to AM and D/A
This works for me, hope it does for you.
No AM is alsway an antenna problem, if the antenna connections are ok and the antenna checks good then the radio needs service, but 1st look for defective antenna issues like rusted connection or loose wires.
then there is no other explanation except the radio is defective.
u never said you thought the radio was the problem, 9 time out of 10 it is the antenna. are u a skilled electronics tech? that is what it will take to repair this, careful component testing is required, a Hands on job. I suggest you let Radio Shack handle the repair.

All the antenna connections are brand new. I tried a different mic and still nothing. The TX light changes from red to green but NO key up on the meter itself.
I realize that my radio is defective that is why I posted here, to try to get the proper help. If anyone has the answer to why a Connex 3300HP stopped TXing but has excellent receive, I would appreciate the help. Thanks
Thanks, I checked all the knob positions and they seem to be in the correct positions.
I can do the tech stuff I just need a little guidance as the eyes don't work like they used to. I would not let Radio Shack fix a broken window. They do NOT have any qualified techs any more as they have gone to just selling cell phones and other litttle objects.
