The info is not clear as to if it is a desktop or laptop . However what u could try is reseating the hdd and also get into BIOS by tapping F2 and u would find a option to restore defaults, after restoring check if the hdd is getting detected . Also make sure that external peripheral like Ext hdd and other usb devices are disconnected. Update once u have tried this.

Hi,
HDD not Detecting only Some region, if you HDD data cable damage, HDD power Cable damage, HDD port damage, or HDD bad sector. But normally you change HDD data or power cable or mother board port. And i suggest mother board all connection disconnect and only HDD connect and open bios and search your HDD detected.

No operating system found

check the bios setup for hdd detection if hdd detected in bios then reinstall or repair your OS

if hdd not detected by bios setup then you have to open hdd cover
you will find a fpc cable betwen hdd & mother board
just open the connector carefully & refit & apply a small tape pice on the connector lock after reinsert the cable

Dear sir i have ir3300 cannon yesterday i switch on the machine monitor showing E602-019 HOW TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM

0001 A mounting fault of the HDD is detected when the HDD is started up from
the BOOT ROM.
0002 A data read fault of the HDD is detected when the HDD is started up from
the BOOT ROM.
0003 A sector fault is detected on the HDD.
0004 A fault is detected in the read /write address for the HDD.
Main cause The wiring is faulty (short circuit, open circuit). The HDD is faulty. The
main controller PCB is faulty.

BUT FIRST: TURN OFF THE COPIER SIMOULTANIOUSLY PRESS 1 AND 9, HOLD IT, AND TURN ON THE COPIER. THIS WILL INITIALIZE THE HDD DEFRAG MODE.

TRY IT, IF NOT REPLACE HDD, AND UPGRADE SOFTWARE - NOTE: FOR UPGRADE YOU NEED THE SERVICE SUPPORT TOOL - CALL SERVICE FOR THATH

Cant detect my western digital hard drive help! philippnes!

Shut down the computer.Disconnect the ide cable from hdd .Just connect using primary hdd and boot the computer. Shut down the computer. Connect the secondary hdd both IDE and power cable. Restart the system and go to bios . Check if the both hdd are detected in bios. If detected boot to desktop. If not detected reset bios settings to default.Restart computer and check. IF still not detected shutdown computer.Disconnected secondary hdd and primary hdd,connected secondary hdd to primary ide connecter and check in bios. If still not detected try connecting secondard hdd on different computer and check.

System can detect Fujitsu MHY2160BH : 160GB HDD, but cant install

it seems that your computer might have a SATA hard drive which could not be detectable by windows xp, try to install vista it will detect it easily.

otherwise use dm (disk manager) for detection and partition.

try to check it on CMOS setup, and see if ur HDD is detected there, then also check the jumper settings of your HDD, is it connected as master drive, or slave, then check other devices jumper settings for CDROM or other HDD connected to your PC. (do this for initial troubleshooting)
