My installation stops

When i load my windows xp cd in the begining i on the compute. it will start to install but wants it asks me to read the liecesence and i should press F8 to continue but it wont work. i think it has no problem with my keyboard .

    Are you using some weird multimedia keyboard, like one with the internet shortcut buttons, etc?

Dear iswar

When you installing windows XP you can push F5 key rapidly , untill you can find two option, you have to choice first option and try to finished the installation.

Well, you must provide more information, for example WHAT MESSAGE you are gettin in that windows installation.

Things I need to know:
1. Are u installing WinXP for the firs time?
2. Are u using a NEW HD?
3. Is that HD SATA type? or SATA2?
4. do you know what partition and formatting is?

I will help you if you provide me that information. For now I will assume the following and tell you what to do in that supposed case:

you get a message that tells you tha you have no Hard Disk or that system cannot detect any HDs... If thats so and you are using a SATA Hard Disk it surely means that your motherboard does not offer automatic driving for SATA so you will need to load the driver for that SATA HD from a CD or a Floppy that must come with your motherboard... I you dont have this you can download the driver from Internet... If your HD is IDE, NON SATA you have a different problem so Please let me know, I will be waiting for more precise information.
